Comfortable modern and simply stunning hotel for celebrations, highly recommended. Outstanding food, good service, and breathtaking view of the mountains. - Perfect location for our needs, very close to restaurants and with a view of the mountains and National Park. - Nice sized room with a stylish design, private bathroom, balcony, coffee, and a kettle.

Location and hospitality were good.
It is expensive compared to other accommodation around Iceland. But there is not much opportunity around Vatnajokull...

The service was professional and friendly.
The furniture in the rooms are old and sometimes broken. The bath room was not cleaned in a proper way. We had to move 3 times to get the promised view to the glacier. Unfortunately the view was not clear since the (very small) window was very dirty. Summary: to charge 150 Euro (prepaid at booking) per night for the offered room is intolerable!

The property's location was amazing, near the surrounding glacier. It was near a restaurant where couples and families were seated in a lower outside area, separate from the group meals happening in southeast Iceland.

Good modern and wonderful relaxing hotel located just off several good restaurants, public areas and icy mountains on 1 side. Varied breakfast with so many options and with attentive staff...

The food was wonderful and the views spectacular
Poor staff training, overpriced, clean but very sparse rooms.

The Fosshotel Vatnajokull is very overpriced as the rooms were small with a very modest television. There was only one router in the hotel so getting internet in your room was hit and miss. At one point there was a horrific noise in the bathroom and the smell that emitted was worse than being in a geothermal region. We had to shut the bathroom door to sleep as it lingered for hours.

A fairly ordinary hotel close to the main ring road, but about 10 miles out of Hofn. No kettle or tea making facilities in the room, which was also quite small. Breakfast was average.
Average in all respects.
